Brief intro to your schedule:
In middle school, you will have different teachers for different classes. You will get to move to different classrooms throughout the day to see your teachers.
What electives are available for 6th grade students?
- Wheel: The wheel is a rotation of electives designed to give 6th graders an introduction to a variety of classes. They may include, but are not limited to: computers, technology, drama, cooking, art, and/or music.
- Band: 6th grade band is open to all students who wish to play a band instrument, even if they did not play in elementary school.
- Strings: Strings is open to all students who wish to play a string instrument, even if they did not play in elementary school.
- Musical Production: Musical production is open to all students interested in theatre. Students will learn acting, dancing, and singing and be part of a class musical production. This class will be combined with 6, 7, and 8th grade students.
Additionally in your schedule, you will have three periods of CORE ( language arts and social studies), science, math and PE.
